The Gailtal Valley High Route
Situated in the south of the Lienz Dolomites and the western part of the Gailtal Valley Alps, the Gailtal Valley High Route leads through the impressive natural landscape of the Gailtal Valley and the Lesachtal Valley. Bordering on the Puster Valley in the north and the Tyrolean Gailtal Valley and Lesachtal Valley in the south, the Gailtal Valley High Route is known as the gentle counterpart of the Peace Trail (Carnic High Route 403) along the Carnic Ridge.
For information: Hiking "From alpine hut to alpine hut“ along the Gailtal Valley High Route is not possible since sleeping accommodations are to find there. However, the Carnic High Route offers the best conditions for overnight accommodation if this is what you are looking for!
