Directions

Coming from the west: turn into the Lesachtal at Tassenbach (Sillian) - continue to Obertilliach - Maria Luggau - Liesing - Birnbaum. From there, the route can be started. Alternatively, there is the option to drive by car to the Hubertus Chapel in the Wolayer valley.

Coming from the east: turn into the Lesachtal at Kötschach - continue to St. Jakob - Birnbaum. From there, the route can be started. Alternatively, there is the option to drive by car to the Hubertus Chapel in the Wolayer valley.

Mit dem Auto fährt man nach Birnbaum und weiter in die kleine Nebenortschaft Nostra. Von dort aus führt der Forstweg weiter bis zur Hubertuskapelle (Start der Mountainbiketour). Dort gehts dann hinauf auf die Untere Wolayeralm, dann serpentinenförmig weiter zur Oberen Wolayeralm, ehe man das Ziel - den Wolayersee mit seiner Wolayerseehütte erreicht.
