Freikofel

Start at Plöckenhaus along the goods road to Grünsee. Then follow the turn-off and sign and continue along the goods road. After approx. 15 minutes you will see a sign on the right for the turn-off to the Kleiner Pal u Freikofel.

A path in the forest leads along serpentines to the "Kamelbuckel" (Freikofelscharte). Follow the Freikofel signpost there. After a short meadow path downhill, the route continues rocky.

Beautiful view almost as far as the sea (in autumn). Attentive hikers will find a tunnel from the war period (exciting for children).

Hike for ages 8 and up.

Suggestion

There are military cemeteries from the First World War and a chapel along the goods route.

At the summit, you can walk through a wartime tunnel.
