The friendly town is located on an east-west gently sloping hill, which turns on the western edge in the steep divide between Liesing and the few meters to the west lie Klebas place. In this grave as the birthplace of the famous scholar Univ .- Prof. Dr. Matthias von Lexer. A small sign at the bridge over the creek reminded. The imposing parish church is situated right on the edge of the village square, which forms the core of the village. Liesing is culturally a very active village. An active club life provides numerous and diverse events. Liesing is the seat of the administration of the community "Lesachtal" and also the largest and oldest parish in the valley (since 1429). In the village is taking place Alpine folk music academy in the many courses and events!
