Situated at lake Laserzsee surrounded by the Dolomites of Lienz you’ll find the „Karlsbader Hütte“ at 2260 m above sea level.

The refuge is easy to reach on a hiking trail in about 4 hours starting at the Tuffbad or from Lienz-Tristach- Dolomitenhütte in about 2 hours. A beautiful sunny terrace with great view to the Dolomites and a comfortable guestroom invite you to rest. You can get local home-made specialities all-day. Excellent base for climbing courses, with accommodation in rooms or communal bunks. We also welcome families for an over-night-stay in our refuge. Package transport is possible upon request. Summer - new shower and washroom facilities. Beautiful tour destinations: Countless climbing and hiking routes NEW: Fixed rope routes Laserzklettersteig and Madonnenklettersteig and a panoramic fixed rope route.
