Tours Maria Luggau
Circular Trail Lotteralm
Walk duration circle hike about 4 hours = 8 points
From Maria Luggau walk past the old water mills along a slightly ascending forest track to Guggenberg. From there a narrow footpath leads to Salach (1.426 m), one of the highest situated localities in Lesachtal valley, or choose the asphalt road to get there. Above the farmhouses branches off a beautifully situated forest trail. Cross Eggenbach brook over a small wood bridge (control stamp). The walk to mountain pasture Lotteralm (not serviced) takes about 50 min. Now leave the popular and much frequented pilgrim’s track, which leads from “Luggauer Brückele” bridge via mount Kofelpass to Maria Luggau. Walk along the forest trail southward until you reach Eggen. In Untereggen leave the road and branch off to the left. Walk along a farm track until you reach the tavern “Wacht” at the Carinthian border. Walk back to Maria Luggau along the main road (about 1 km).
