Circular Hike Stallnhütten

Walk duration circle hike about 4 hours = 8 points

Start at the tavern “Baeckwirt” on foot to Gail River, cross it and walk up to the road leading to Ebnertal valley. Turn to the left about 100 m before you reach some huts called “Stalln-Hütten” and walk along a beautiful forest track (forest trail) to Moosertal valley. After crossing Moosertalbach brook (control stamp) the way leads to the alpine meadows Sterzer Hochwiesen on the other side of the valley. The slightly descending way takes you to Frohn. Enjoy the great view to Lesachtal valley with its romantic villages. Take the pilgrim’s path coming up from the Italian localities Sappada/Plodn and Forni Avoltri to Sterzen and walk back to Maria Luggau.
