Circular Hike Samalm

Walk duration there and back about 5 hours = 10 points

The most beautiful ascent leads from Maria Luggau past old water mills to Guggenberg. At the first houses branch off to the right. Along a rampant path you’ll reach mountain pasture Samalm in about 3 hours (cross) – not serviced. The descent goes towards east first along trail No. 24 (Xaveriberg – St. Lorenzen). Then leave the track at an altitude of about 1.680 m, branch off to the right and descend across Klammwiese to Maria Luggau. Further possibilities to ascend or descend are offered via Guggenberger Sattel, Tuffbad and Xaveriberg. Control stamp beneath Samalmkreuz cross at the signposts. The hiking trails are sometimes crossed by alpine trails, watch the connections – you can also walk along the alpine trail!
