Mount Mittagskofel
Walk duration there and back about 7 hours = 14 points
The way up to mount Mittagskofel starts in Liesing or at swimming bath. The way leads southward along Klebasbach brook to Gail River. About 40 m south of the bridge there is an information board indicating the road to mountain pasture Steineckenalm and mount Mittagskofel. A narrow red and white marked path leads up the hill to mountain pasture Steineckenalm. After about 2 hours passing along the forest trail we reach the mountain pasture Bödenalm and find a small lodge. The path changes its direction about 200 m above mountain pasture Bödenalm (south-westward instead of southward). We reach the next mountain pasture - Käserfeldalm, the way to mount Mittagskofel starts about 200 m to the left of the refuge. At the foot of mount Mittagskofel the direction of the way changes again and leads now westward. The last section is faced from the west. After a hike of about 3 or 4 hours we finally reach the summit cross (control stamp). Note: marked ways to mount Mittagskofel start also in Niedergail and at the mountain pasture Obergailer Alm.
