Tours Liesing
Circular hike Oberrasteralm
Walk duration there and back about 5 hours = 10 points
Starting point is Liesing. From Liesing we hike along the road towards Pallas. In the forest after about 2.5 km the way to mountain pasture Oberrasteralm turns off to the right. It leads across forests and mountain pastures to Oberrasteralm and is well-marked. The second possibility is to go to Assing by car and take the hiking trail starting at the highest farmhouse to Oberrasteralm. In the beginning it is quite steep but then it’s a pleasant walk to mountain pasture Oberrasteralm. From the main road near Stabenthein we can also take the forest trail to mountain pasture Oberrasteralm. It is reported that the spring water there has positive effect on gastric diseases. From the mountain pasture (control stamp) we walk towards north-east along the way and come to several hay huts at the foot of mount Lumkofel and to mountain pasture Mahdalpe (control stamp at the huts – sea level 1.814 m) and we have now reached the highest point of our hike. Our way back leads us past huts towards south-west to Assing. This way is well-marked and runs mostly across the forest. From Assing we can walk to Liesing via Ladstatt-Tscheltsch or Pallas.
