Lake Wolayersee

Walk duration there and back about 7 1/2 hours = 15 points

We start in Birnbaum towards Nostra to Wolayertal valley and walk past the chapel “Hubertuskapelle” (parking lot). We reach the mountain pasture Untere Wolayeralm. Here the way begins to ascend and after several double bends we come to the “Sprudelbach” (waterfall). After a short time we reach the plateau of the mountain pasture Obere Wolayeralm. From here we cross the hollow and after 20 minutes we reach our destination – the refuge Wolayerseehütte (serviced, control stamp) at lake Wolayersee.
