Mount Gemskofel (2122 m)

Beautiful and not too difficult hike offering great views. Ascent time from Obergail 2,5 hours. From the highest-located farm in Obergail (access via Liesing – Klebas – Obergail), Plasegger-Hof, follow the forestry road towards Obergailerberg for about 1 km. Turn left at the following fork. After 40 m turn left again and leave the road. Cross steep forest area heading south via Obergailerberg (1674 m) to an alpine cabin (wayside cross). Follow the ridge to the summit (the first section is forested, then free). Descent by way of ascent or to Obergailertal valley!
